What is cellulite?

Cellulite is the dimpled appearance of the skin on and around the outer thighs, buttocks and other body areas where fatty deposits are found in close proximity to the skin. Women are more prone to cellulite formation than men and almost all women over the age of 20 have cellulite to some degree. Cellulite is not necessarily a symptom of being overweight and, in fact, many people who are NOT overweight have cellulite. The appearance of cellulite is not always reduced by weight loss.

What causes cellulite?

Cellulite occurs in the subcutaneous fat layer just beneath your skin. Your skin is connected to the underlying muscle by vertical strands of tissue called septae. Toxins in your body get deposited in the fat cells; this results in water uptake by the fat cells in an attempt to dilute or neutralize these toxins. As the fat cells swell from the increase in water absorption the blood and lymph flow to the tissue becomes dramatically reduced. Poor diet, lack of exercise and insufficient water intake will also contribute to cellulite formation. Also, as we get older, these vertical strands of tissue (septae) lose elasticity and begin to shrink. The combination of this connective tissue pulling in on your skin and the engorged fat cells pushing out against your skin is what causes the dimpled appearance of cellulite.

How does the Dermosonic method work?

Dermosonic is an FDA approved method for reducing cellulite, creating inch loss and overall body contouring. This method has been used in Europe with excellent results since 1999. The Dermosonic method is a two stage process. The first stage incorporates ultrasonic waves to penetrate beneath the skin breaking up fibrosis in the connective tissue, stimulating blood circulation and literally softening fat deposits. This important and distinctive first stage greatly enhances the second stage of the Dermosonic method called N.I.S.T. or Non-invasive Subdermal Therapy, which is the dispersion of these fat deposits, elongation of connective tissue and the promotion of lymphatic drainage using specialized vibratory and suction techniques. A typical two stage treatment lasts 60 minutes and many clients experience visible results after only a few treatments.

Is the Dermosonic method a cure for cellulite?

No. There is no cure for cellulite - not Dermosonic - not Endermologie - not even liposuction, which does not effect the subcutaneous fat layer where the cause of cellulite is. However, the Dermosonic method is an extremely effective treatment we have found at reducing the appearance of cellulite by effectively targeting the subcutaneous fat layer, causing fibrosis breakage, dispersing fat tissue, elongating connective tissue and promoting lymphatic drainage. The cellulite becomes much less visible since the both the tension of connective tissue and the pressure of accumulated fat deposits and fibrosis build-up around the cellulite are greatly reduced and therefore a smoother, firmer, more toned look is imparted to the skin.

Is there any pain associated with the Dermosonic method?

No. In fact, many of our clients favorably compare the treatment to a relaxing massage.

How many treatments are required?

As is the case with all cellulite reduction therapies, usually, a series of treatments are required, which is why we offer discounted, multiple treatment packages. However, for some people with minor cellulite, satisfying results can be achieved after only a few treatments with the Dermosonic method. We offer complimentary consultations to advise you of the type of results you can expect.

Endermologie
® Cellulite Reduction

We proudly offer the latest LPG cellulite reduction machine, The Cellu M6 Key-Module for Endermologie treatments. Endermologie , is an FDA-approved treatment to temporarily, yet effectively reduce the appearance of cellulite, increase circulation, relieve minor muscle aches and pains ,relax muscle spasms. Its use is widely endorsed by dermatologists and plastic surgeons.

How Does Endermologie work?

The Endermologie experience is a comprehensive, non-surgical approach which embraces the physical and aesthetic needs of the whole body using a patented technique proven safe and effective.

This patented technique, developed in France over a decade ago, efficiently produces results using a refreshing, non-surgical method applied through a course of weekly sessions. From head to toe, your Endermologie® experience is effective, safe and painless.

Endermologie uses rollers and gentle suctioning to deep massage the affected areas in a way that cannot be otherwise duplicated. Studies have shown that circulation is increased, collagen production is increased, toxins and abnormal water buildup are expelled as the connective fibers are stretched. The result is a smoother body.

What is the difference between the Dermosonic Method and Endermologie?

Both are excellent, FDA approved technologies for reducing the look of cellulite, inch loss and body contouring. Dermosonic uses two therapies (ultrasound and non-invasive subdermal therapy) and is mainly used to target specific areas of the body. Endermologie uses non-invasive subdermal therapy and is best for full body treatments. The overall result for both treatments is for smoother looking skin!

Call us for a complimentary consultation to find out which treatments are best suited for your body type.
