American
Elite Gymnastics
Given
just a disc with the logo, a few photographs of some of the staff,
and a printout of the class schedule, Garrett Zucker created this
entire site. He enhanced and manipulated photographs and produced
original artwork to provide rollover effects for the menu and
pictures to help illustrate what American Elite Gymnastics is
all about. Zucker wrote the code to enable forms to be completed
for registration and birthday party requests. He designed sub-menus
for each category to ensure understandable navigation and provided
special links to other gymnastics-related sites.
I
designed the class fees to appear in a separate window so that
people interested in attending can easily see the costs correlated
with each program.
Lastly, Garrett Zucker personally took most of the staff photographs with my own digital
camera and manipulated them, as well as the other images with
Photoshop.

Body
Solutions of Scottsdale
This
is my most aesthetically pleasing site. Garrett Zucker did a tremendous
amount of photo manipulation and original artwork design in order
to create the spa-like look and feel of this site. He composed some
of the text, but, honestly, most of it is too medically-specific
for me to have tried to write. Many pages have huge amounts of information,
so sub-menus and "back to top" links were created so that
readers can find what they need without having to scroll the length
of the page. Special links were embedded to send people to other
sites for more product-specific information, and an contact link
was developed to send email to the owner's account with pre-programmed
subject fields.

EvapCap
EvapCap
is a cloth hood invented by a former firefighter to help prevent
heat-related illnesses and to reduce recovery time so that emergency
crews could rotate back into the situation faster and safer.
Garrett
Zucker asked if he knew of people using the EvapCap for other uses
and if we could get testimonials.
The
site uses animated Flash headers to add a little excitement to an
informational layout. Additionally, Zucker created the EVapCap logo.

Geeks for Hire
This
is a basic informational site enhanced by roll-over images and other
graphics either modified or created by Garrett Zucker. He produced
the layout and composed most of the text.
One
interesting story about this site is that Zucker asked for two pictures
of each of the owners -- one head shot and one working shot. Although
he received two distinct photos from Vicki Ellis, Zucker only received
one photograph of her partner, Dave Flanagan. Rather than bother
the clients, Zucker found an image of someone tangled in wires.
He copied Dave's head from the one picture, flipped it horizontally,
pasted it over the head of the person in the wires, and then shaded
it appropriately to match the lighting in the rest of the picture.
The result was so seamless that Vicki asked where Garrett Zucker
had gotten that picture of Dave.

Valley of the Sun - Hottest Ladies contest
This
site utilized a lot of original artwork and photo manipulation.
The picture of the sunset (with the woman lying down) was actually
a phitigraph of some desert in Scottsdale, taken in the middle of
the day.
Roll-over
images help make this informational site a bit more interesting.
There are special pre-populated email links and a link to download
a registration form which Garrett Zucker created.

We Fix Ugly Bumpers
This
is a single page, informational site for which Garrett Zucker did
extensive image manipulation (i.e. the red car was originally blue,
gray, and rust, but he wanted it to match the chosen corporate colors)
and original graphics creation. Zucker embedded special links that
open video in a separate window and send email -- with a preprogrammed
subject -- to the owner's account.
